Description
A collection of programmes from the archive of Yehudi Menuhin (1916-1999), now part of the Foyle Menuhin archive. The collection contains programmes from Menuhin's playing and conducting careers, programmes from the Yehudi Menuhin School and from various festivals connected to Menuhin (in particular the Gstaad Festival, which was founded by Menuhin). The geographic coverage of the collection is disparate, including a significant amount of material from London and the United Kingdom. Some of the programmes are housed as separate folders which consist entirely of concert programmes; other programmes are contextualised by being housed with other ephemeral items, such as press cuttings and correspondence, from a particular concert or festival.
